First Initiative of Open-IP.org |
| |
Dec. 11, 2007 |
| |
The first initiative of Open-IP.org is to establish a data
clearinghouse that consolidates patent offers from multiple online
entry points (portals) into a centralized data repository. The combined
patent offers will be syndicated back to all member portals so that
each patent for sale or license can be found at all entry points.
Entry points for listed technology may be traditional Internet
portals and IP management applications. Research points to the
consolated database may be Internet portals or patent data analysis
tools.
Each portal will retain their unique “value-added”
market advantage to provide for continued competition and innovation.
The consolidated database will be publicly accessible exclusively via
member portals’ websites.
