An open-source license has been chosen for the Open-IP XML data sharing standard. We have chosen the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 Unported License.
This allows users to share, copy and re-distribute the XML standard for both commercial and non-commercial use. This license has two restrictions.

Open-IP.org announced today, the preliminary XSD for patent and technology syndication. The XSD is open for comments through January 2, 2008 at which point it will be converted to a working model to be demonstrated at the February, 2008 Symposium.

Open-IP Applies for 501c3 Status |

Open-IP.org recently incorporated in the State of Colorado and has applied for 501c3 status as an industry interest group promoting a strong and fluid marketplace for intellectual property.
The 501c3 appilcation takes from 4 to 6 weeks to process. Updates will be available at the open-IP.org site as new information comes available.
